Who We Are Seeking:
Christ Church Nashville seeks a devoted Jesus follower who is passionate about the Gospel, energetic in their pursuit to follow Jesus, creative in their understanding of discipleship and a self-starter who has the vision to do ministry in a contagiously enthusiastic way. This full-time role, Director of Christ Church Kids (CCK), will help us re-envision, grow, and strengthen our diverse kids’ ministry. Our Director will come to the table with fresh ideas and innovative ways to do ministry, in a context marked by the challenges of COVID-19 and shifting cultural complexities. They will continue our efforts to intentionally engage the incredibly diverse community which surrounds our church. The Director of CCK will provide leadership, vision, and direction that creates a life-giving atmosphere of vibrant discipleship and evangelism for kids, parents, and our CCK ministry team. The Director of CCK will also encourage spiritual growth through intentional relationships while also looking for opportunities to connect and partner with parents. The Director of CCK will have the absolute support of Executive Leadership and our team of pastors.

The Director of CCK will:
• Be the chief vision caster for CCK (ages birth-6th grade)

• Design and implement vision for it to become a tangible reality

• Ensure that the major components of a thriving kids ministry are in place, such as:
– A strong emphasis on family discipleship
– Resourcing parents as they raise kids who love Jesus
– Life changing camp and kids’ ministry experiences
– Numerical and spiritual growth in families and kids
– Strong security and safety protocols
– Creative online content
– Well trained leaders and CCK team members
– Robust, context rooted, Christo-centric focus in curriculum and teaching – Outcomes that draw kids into a relationship with Jesus

• Be the primary teacher and leader on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights

• Help develop and maintain all security standards

• Oversee and maintain all schedules to always ensure a fully staffed Kids’ Ministry

• Intentionally recruit, disciple, train and build relationship with CCK volunteers/staff

• Consistently communicate with church staff, key leaders, and parents

• Provide oversight for future planned summer/day camps

• Plan and oversee special CCK gatherings (i.e., Trunk or Treat, Parents Night Out)

• Create and manage a healthy kids’ ministry budget

• Work with the Connect Director to implement a strategy for reaching and assimilating families

• Participate in staff meetings and staff activities

• Help organize and facilitate special events (i.e., baby dedications and volunteer appreciations)

The Director of CCK will bring:
• Bachelor’s Degree in ministry, education, or related field preferred. 3+ years of high-level leadership experience in children’s ministry will be considered in lieu of a degree

•Proven track record of success leading/participating in a children’s ministry of 100-250+ children for 2+ years minimum

•An aptitude for large group communication skills

•Proficiency for developing and refining ministry processes

•Experience leading, recruiting, training, scheduling and equipping volunteers

•Proficiency with (or able to become so within 6 weeks of being hired) Planning Center Management Software and its check-in system
