First Fruits—A New Blog Post from Pastor Hunter

Stewardship Email Header

Dear Christ Church Family,

Thank you!

On December 21st, we came to you with our church’s year-end financial need. For our year’s giving to match our year’s expenses, we needed approximately $415,000 to come through the doors prior to December 31st. Together, we took the need to God in prayer.

In just two short weeks, the church received over $650,000 in gifts. This financial blessing is a testimony of God’s incredible goodness to Christ Church and to your faithfulness to give in untold sacrificial ways.

We give thanks to God for providing the answer to our need. And we give thanks to you for answering God’s call to give. From serving families at Granbery School to providing opportunities for cancer survivors to meet in support groups, your gifts are carrying the message of hope deep into our community.

Proverbs 3:9-10 tells us that if we honor the Lord with our wealth and the first fruits of all our produce, then our barns will be filled with plenty and our vats will be bursting with wine. If you are not in the practice of bringing your first fruits—your tithe—to God’s house, there is no better time than now, the beginning of a new year.

Please go ahead and mark your calendars for our annual church meeting on Sunday afternoon, March 8th, where we’ll celebrate the work that God has done in our church in the past year, and look forward to the work He will continue to do this year and beyond.

In thanksgiving to God and to you,

Hunter Mobley
Executive Pastor
