Christ Church Welcomes Incoming Senior Pastor Ben Anderson

Ben Anderson Family Portrait

Welcome, Ben Anderson!

Ben Anderson has been elected to be the incoming Senior Pastor of Christ Church. A congregational ratification on Sunday, May 19 2019 was an overwhelming endorsement of the important work that Christ Church Nashville’s Discerning Committee, Transition Team, and Board of Directors has done over the past year in seeking the church’s next Senior Pastor. Ben and his entire family are excited to begin a new season of ministry for their family and for Christ Church.

Upcoming Dates

Ben’s first Sunday as Senior Pastor will be Sunday, July 7, and his first day in the office will be Monday, July 8.

Stay tuned for information about Pastor Dan’s retirement celebration which will occur on Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23.

Please know that in this in-between time, Christ Church is still open for business and your staff team is working hard to make sure that transition is smooth and seamless. We are present for you and excited to continue leading our congregation in the good ministry that God has prepared for us—including our upcoming Vacation Bible School and congregational mission trip to the Black Mountain Home for Children and Families. Check out the church calendar on our website to discover all the exciting opportunities happening in the next several months.

About Ben

Ben is no stranger to Christ Church. He and his wife, Erin, joined Christ Church in the early 2000s. They served as volunteers at Christ Church in a variety of ways until Ben was invited to join the Christ Church staff as one of our children’s ministers. Ben was ordained at Christ Church in 2010 and he and his wife Erin welcomed two of their three children (Dylan age 13, Luke age 9, and Zeke age 4) while they were a part of the Christ Church congregation. Ben has two master’s degrees in theology, one from Trevecca and the other from Vanderbilt. For the last four years, Ben has served as Executive Pastor at Christ Life Church in Smyrna, Tennessee, as well as teaching as an adjunct professor at Trevecca’s School of Religion.
