A Word From Pastor Ben- July 16, 2020

Dear Christ Church Family,
As we continue to ride the “Corona-Coaster of 2020” together, I wanted to share this latest update with you.  As of today, we have had some positive diagnoses for COVID-19 among some of our Christ Church staff and worship team members.  Contact tracing indicates these instances originated in non-Christ-Church related settings and gatherings.  And, since the rain prevented us from gathering for worship in person last Sunday, we can be confident no one but those serving on our limited pastoral, worship, and tech teams have been in contact most recently.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR CHRIST CHURCH?
We are thankful our affected leaders and their families are all recovering well at home, with slight to mild symptoms, mainly involving mild fever and fatigue.

As a necessary precaution, and in the best interest of our entire congregation, our worship service for this Sunday, July 19th, will be ONLINE ONLY.  Please make plans to join us as we broadcast on all platforms beginning at 10:30AM.

At this time, our hope and prayer is that suspending our gathering in person this week will allow us to responsibly reconvene Worship On the Lawn the following Sunday, July 26th.  Stay tuned for more details in the week ahead!

If you, or any in your family, happen to test positive for COVID-19 in this season, let our church family assist you in any way you may need.  If we can drop off groceries, run errands, cut the grass, pray and be a listening ear on the phone, or help with any other tasks recovering at home makes difficult, please contact us through the church office.  If you are in need of financial assistance, please contact us. What could be more important than to practically love, serve, and support one another through this challenging time?  After all, it is what we, as the Church, are called, equipped, and privileged to do!  At a time when many are feeling overwhelmed, let us be a positive source of pro-active encouragement in Christ-like service for one another and for those around us. We will get through this – TOGETHER!

Lastly, will you please also join us in praying for the swift recovery of all those affected in any way by this virus?  Let us all find our rest, our hope, and our strength in Christ, as we lift up one another in prayer, and serve one another in His love!

As always, please do not hesitate to contact us with any further questions.  THANK YOU, Christ Church family!  We will continue to walk with the Lord and one another through this – one step at a time!  “Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing!”

(1 Thessalonians 5:11)
