Wayne was born and raised in the state of Missouri. He is the son of a Baptist preacher. He graduated from Southwest Baptist University with a major in speech and drama and a minor in Bible. He attended Midwestern Baptist Theological seminary in Kansas City, Missouri. He served for over 25 years as a Youth Pastor in churches in Missouri and Georgia. He is married to Ann and has two grown children, Scott of Franklin, Tn. His daughter is Amy in St. Louis, Missouri. For the ten years prior to coming to Christ Church, he served as Senior Pastor in Missouri. His is a member of the 1976 Who’s Who in Religion. He has had three sermons published in the Zondervan Pastor’s Annual. He preaches weekly at Christ Church in a worship called Prime Time, a 3:00p.m. Wednesday afternoon traditional worship experience in Wallace Chapel. He has spoken extensively in churches and conferences throughout Missouri. In addition to preaching, he has been a popular after dinner speaker for many organizations.
