The purpose of Christian Education is to disciple and mentor people in the faith by teaching them to understand and apply the Scriptures, and to help them discover their life's purpose and release them to serve in accordance with their calling.

The Alpha Course

As a part of Pastor Dan's vision for the church, we are offering the Alpha Course at Christ Church.  Alpha is a unique presentation of the Gospel aimed at those who are not Christians.  For ten weeks, guests are served a free meal, then shown a video presentation about Christianity.  Following the presentation, guests gather in small groups with a host and facilitator who ask them what they thought of the presentation.  Guests are invited to share their thoughts openly and the facilitator keeps the conversation moving.  Each week the guests return to their same small group and continue the conversation.  Alpha waits on the Holy Spirit to convict and move among the guests and has seen many unsaved people come to Christ. 

Our first Alpha meeting will be on Wednesday, September 3rd, in Montelle Hardwick Hall.  The meal will start at 6:00, the presentation will begin at 7:00, and the evening will end by 8:30.  If you are interested in getting involved, please contact Austin Cagle.
