How do I join the Christ Church Choir?
Applications are available twice a year—normally in late December/early January and late May/early June. Applicants are asked to have been attending Christ Church for at least six months, completed Pastor Hardwick’s class “What Christ Church Believes & Teaches” (offered in the fall and spring sessions) and be faithful in attendance and financial giving to Christ Church. Applications are reviewed by pastoral leadership, followed by a vocal interview with choir leaders and new member group meeting. New choir members rehearse for several weeks before singing in the Sunday morning worship services.

How do I obtain permission to record a Christ Church Choir song?
If you would like to record a song that you have heard the Christ Church Choir sing, you need to contact the publisher or the administrator of the song and request a mechanical license. This information can be found printed in the CD/cassette covers and choral book pages. Christ Church cannot give permission to record a song unless the copyright is owned by Christ Church.

Where do I find out about license requirements for Christ Church Choir music?
For license requests of Christ Church Choir music, please send your written request to christchurchlicensing@churchca.com

Can I attend a Christ Church Choir rehearsal?
Yes. Choir rehearsal is on Wednesday evening from 7pm-9pm. Please call in advance to notify the music office of your desire to attend.

How does the choir find new material?
Landy and Joy Gardner are constantly listening to all types of music in order to find new songs and/or styles for the choir. It is also through their relationships with songwriters and arrangers that they gather new ideas and acquire new material.

How often does the choir travel?
Due to the high costs involved in transporting such a large group, most invitations involving travel must be declined. Typically within a year the choir will make 2-3 appearances outside of the Nashville area. The choir’s primary commitment is to their home church, serving as the sanctuary choir during worship services.

How can I volunteer in the Media Department?
Visit our Media Ministry's page or contact John McClure at (615) 834-6171 ext. 114.

Are the services at Christ Church video taped?

Are recordings of the services at Christ Church available on audio tape?
Yes. Sunday morning tapes include worship and the sermon. Sunday and Wednesday evening tapes include the sermon only.

Our Sunday morning sermons are also offerred online and via MP3 and podcasting.
