Christ Church has always tried to create and maintain that personal sense of belonging within our congregation.  The Care Calling Ministry is a way of reaching out and connecting with our growing congregation and saying “WE CARE”.  We have several calling teams and each team comes to the church one evening (or Saturday morning) a month to make their calls.  Each caller has a list of names for which they are responsible to call and touch base, see how they are doing and pray with them about any concerns or needs they may have.  We live in a fallen world where so many are lonely and hurting.  When we take the time to listen and we care enough to pray – it’s amazing what God can do!  God works through our Care Callers to connect to His people and bless them and minister to their needs.

We need to train more Care Callers and add more teams.  Currently each caller’s list is long and takes two or three months to complete.  Our goal is to have enough callers to shorten the lists to where everyone is called each month.  If you would like to join the Care Calling Team, or share a testimony of how this ministry has blessed your life, please contact Jim Wallace at 615-715-0320 or jow22021@comcast.net.

Just a few testimonies from this powerful ministry...

A single mom with a son struggling with MS asked prayer for a ramp from the driveway to the house entrance.  Her son was getting too heavy to lift up stairs. The Care Caller prayed with her & turned in the report to the prayer team.  Someone saw the request & God moved them to help.  They hired a contractor to build the ramp.  The contractor was touched by this, renewed his commitment to Christ & is attending church now.  The mom & son are full of joy for this answer to prayer.

A grandmother was called while on her way to help a grandchild in trouble due to drug usage.  After prayer, she was able to have confidence that God would help her grandchild.  A couple months later when called back, she reported the grandchild had made a dramatic change and no longer used drugs.

A mother was called while in the hospital ICU with her child.  A couple months later when called back, she reported the child was out of the hospital and doing fine.
