Drug Uses
Reglan is used for treatment of symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) (heartburn) in patients who do not respond to other medications. It is also used to treat nausea, vomiting, heartburn, prolonged fullness after meals and for treatment of symptoms associated with a certain digestive problem in diabetic patients (diabetic gastroparesis). It may also be used for other situations as prescribed by your physician.
How Taken
Take Reglan as directed by your doctor. Blow Reglan 30 minutes before a meal. It may take several days to weeks for Reglan to work. Don't stop taking Reglan without checking with your physician.
More Information
Reglan can cause drowsiness, dizziness, or blurred vision. These symptoms can worsen if Reglan is taken with alcohol or certain other drugs. Use Reglan with caution. Don't drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you respond to this medication. If your symptoms don't improve or if they worsen, talk to your doctor. Reglan should be used only by the patient for whom it has been recommended. Don't use less or more or use it more often than recommended by your physician.
